I purchased this yellow/ mustard, leather cape once belonging to Elvis Presley from a man who was employed as a sound engineer in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1960's-1970's. He was working at the Las Vegas Hilton on their sound system in the main showroom before Elvis’ August 1972 engagement.  He was there while Elvis was rehearing for his show.  He recalls Elvis wearing this cape as he entered the stage and after a few minutes removed it and threw it in the direction of the  members of his group that were sitting near the stage.  One of the members folded it and placed it on the back of his chair.  After a short period of time Elvis removed his white sweat bands and tossed them toward the table, missing and hitting the floor.  After this he left as his entourage jumped onto the stage and followed him. He noticed that the cape was now on the floor near the table that Elvis’ entourage was seated.  He walked over and picked up the cape, plus both of the sweat bands and the Las Vegas Hilton ashtray that his entourage was using and placed them in his utility bag.   Accompanied with Letter of Authenticity form the original owner and EP Memorabilia.   Winning bid pays for shipping, handling and insurance.  Once Elvis leaves the building it is the responsibility of the buyer.  If you would like to select shipping via other services with tracking # please request and I will calculate final total.
