This card looks close to perfect in person just like the photo's and looks absolutely awesome with bright colors. American 14 by 22 inch 1938 window card size movie poster for THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD . The film stars Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, Claude Rains, Patric Knowles, Eugene Pallette and Alan Hale. The top photo's are mostly before restoration and below that are the restored appearance some photos got mixed a bit but as you can see very little was needed to restore this card but to replace the top blank area that was trimmed off and there was some restoration paint that was redone in the area of the blocks of stone on the lower left and the black penciling of the bottom writing was removed. You can see from the before and after close-up shots there was very little difference in appearance some small stuff was removed from Olivia's face you can see if you look at the before then after shot . The card was removed from it's original backing and was rebacked with very close to the original thickness and appearance card stock which by the way it seems most restorers don't have anymore as It's been impossible to find the last 6-7 years , this card was restored at Precision Restoration . Back to Top Sadly, some of the sellers of movie poster reprints have resorted to exclaiming their reprints are originals or studio reissues " not posterhouse reprints" as one illiterate prolific seller claims. I can only help this situation by assisting you to be able to tell the difference. Virtually all the unlicensed reprints of movie posters in all countries are from one source for the last 21 years since the illegal reprint/fake problem began in 1985 with Francis in London, England's beginning to "fake" originals, his product is almost always 1 inch short so most of his one sheet size movie posters are 39 inches tall instead of the 40 inches they should be (until very recently when studio's began ocassionally printing some 39 inch tall posters for some reason). His reprints are grainy in the credits , the originals have no grain, and the out of focus, grainy, splotchy appearance on all his posters are a dead giveaway. Upon reciept most reprints are very easy to recognize due to there horrible quality. There are a few he puts alot of effort into - like his Spiderman recalled style fake which was only 1/8 inch short and better quality then usual.
